Volunteering PDF Print E-mail

The library currently needs volunteers to staff the Internet Area. If you have some basic computer skills, familiarity with the internet and a couple hours a week to help continue this vital service, fill out a volunteer application by clicking here or by just coming into the Library, fill it out, and bring it into the Library. Make sure to specify an interest in being an Internet volunteer. Some knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not mandatory.

Come lend a hand to make your library great. Individuals and groups are needed on either a one-time or ongoing basis for:

  • Covering and cleaning books ·
  • Repairing Library materials
  • Assisting with inventories
  • Storytelling
  • Maintaining the ongoing book sale
  • Staffing the Information Desk (including Spanish interpreters)
  • Shelving books
  • Shelf reading (Ask us about the Adopt-a-Shelf program)
  • . . . and many other special projects

All volunteers need to complete and return an application with basic information, including your volunteer task preferences. Once your application is complete, or if you need further assistance, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Sharon Kresge. She can be reached by telephone at 229-7388 or by email at lb2slk@orem.
